Design inspiration:

In a traditional Maori meeting house (Marae) the Maori woven mat is given to guests of distinction, or a very fine mat is specially woven to celebrate the birth of a child.  Owning or giving a piece of flax weave is a symbol of achievement, respect and great pride and inspires a sense of strength and tradition.
